ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF MUNGER UNIVERSITY

1. Name of the Association:

The name of the Association shall be the MUNGER UNIVERSITY

2. Head Office:

The Head Office of the Association shall be in the premises of Health Centre, MUNGER UNIVERSITY(Bihar) India.

3. Aims and Objectives

  • To foster the spirit of brotherhood and comradeship amongst the alumni of the University,
  • To foster close relationship between MUNGER Alumni and the University,
  • To provide a forum for exchange of ideas on educational, cultural, social and academic matters,
  • To arrange and collect funds for university welfare schemes as approved by AATM,
  • To engage alumni in strategic directions for MUNGER,
  • To publish literature and maintain directories,
  • To provide networking and career opportunities,
  • To honour distinguished alumni.

4. Membership:

Eligible individuals can become members based on qualification criteria. Categories include Life, Annual and Honorary Members. Subscription fees are:

  • Life Members: Rs. 5000/-
  • Annual Members: Rs. 1000/-
  • Non-Resident: $100 USD

5. General Body:

  • Consists of all registered members.
  • Meets at least once per year.
  • One tenth of members form quorum.
  • Elects the Executive Committee (EC) every 2 years.

6. Chief Patron:

The Vice-Chancellor of TMBU (Ex-officio).

Office Bearers:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • General Secretary
  • Joint Secretary (2)

Term: 2 years. An adhoc committee handles elections and alumni meets.

7. Executive Committee:

Consists of 15 members. Responsible for proposing by-law amendments. Term: 2 years.

8. Duties of Office Bearers:

  • President: Presides meetings, can call special meetings.
  • Vice-President: Acts in President's absence.
  • General Secretary: Custodian of records, handles funds, calls meetings, maintains registers.
  • Joint Secretary: Assists General Secretary, acts in his/her absence.
  • Treasurer: Manages accounts, operates bank account jointly with Gen. Secretary.

9. General Meetings:

  • At least one Annual General Meeting per year.
  • Special meetings as needed with consultation.
  • Quorum: One-third members.

10. Executive Committee Meetings:

  • At least one per year.
  • Quorum: Five members.
  • Approves reports, budgets and auditor appointments.

11. Notices of Meetings:

Minimum 10-day notice. In emergencies, shorter notice as approved by the President.

12. Voting:

By majority. In case of tie, President casts the deciding vote.

13. Funds and Accounts:

  • Sources: Memberships, donations, gifts.
  • Spending aligned with AATM objectives.
  • Account held at MUNGER UNIVERSITY branch.
  • Joint operation by Gen. Secretary and Treasurer.
  • Annual audit required.

14. Amendments:

  • Proposals considered only in Annual General Meetings.
  • Requires 1/3rd presence and 2/3rd approval.
